    • April – Utensil holder, unboxed welder, DC for miter saw.
    • Jay – Upgraded bandsaw, stupid easy.
  • Referenced Channels/ Videos:
  • Submitted Questions:
    • Kevin H. My question: Can each of you discuss your table saw, mitre/chop saw and circular saw blades? Do you swap out for ripping and then for cross cuts?
    • Tom Meaney…What is your favorite thing you have learnt from another youtuber that has either just really helped you out of a problem, been a light bulb moment or just something you never knew? Woodworking or other.
    • daddywoofdawg – What is the sizes of screws and bolts that you seem to use the most (keep stocked).I.e You lost all your screws, bolts,So you had to restock, what sizes of screws and bolts would you get when you went to the hardware store? The reason i ask is I always seem to never have enough or have the right sizes,So I wanted to start stocking some different sizes, that will cover most projects.

Just listening to this week’s podcast. I agree with Jay when he said us listeners/watchers of your YouTube channels tune in to see what you guys are doing. For example, I am probably never going to make a jewelry holder, make styrofoam look like brick, or hand cut dovetails but I still watch the videos because I like to see what you guys are up to, and I can hopefully learn something that may come in handy on a different project later down the line.

Totally agree. I wouldn’t get too caught up in your heads about what you should and shouldn’t publish. You got popular by being yourselves. Stay yourselves.

Enjoyed “the” podcast. It’s great to hear you guys talking shop. I almost feel like I’m right there with you guys — except no one is paying any attention to what I’m saying. lol Thanks ya’all… 😉

Loved the episode. In terms of stocking hardware, I agree with Nick, and very much like to standardize. #8 Robertson (Square Drive) Screws, in all sizes, and 1/4-20 Bolts/Nuts/Etc. There are a few boxes of outdoor/deck screws that take a torx-bit, but Phillips screws are not allowed in the shop.

One of the best recent purchases I’ve made is investing in a full supply of wood screws. I bought 500-packs of Hillman Group screws off amazon in a bunch of sizes (3/4″, 1″, 1-1/4″, 2″. 2-1/2″, 3″) so I have anything I need in stock. Since I favor Robertson drive, I can’t just run to the hardware store to pick up more of them (DAMN YOU HENRY FORD!). I also use containers (jars) that hold about half a box (depending on screw length) so I know to re-order when I finish the box. Amazon will deliver in 2-3 days, so I haven’t had issues running out of stock yet.

If I know I am going to be batching something out in large numbers, I’ll order self-tapping screws to reduce the number of operations, but generally opt for the cheaper non-tapping kind..
